ColdIQ Sales Tech Lab #98
Hey ColdIQers! Today’s topic is packed with endless possibilities, and I can’t wait to dive in with you.
Let’s explore what’s exciting in GTM tech this week:
Tool of the week ↴
How do you make sure your emails don't land in spam?
That question has an infrastructure answer long before it has a copywriting one. Hypertide is ours.
Google inboxes at $3.30 per inbox per month, no minimums, so you can send (a lot of!!) emails safely. SPF, DKIM and DMARC are configured before you touch anything. Your domains and IP addresses are used by nobody but you, so no one else's bad sending can drag you into spam. Setup is automated and live in 4 to 6 hours, straight into Instantly or lemlist.
Then you watch it. Domain-level analytics is what lets us pull a report every Friday, find the bottom 10% by reply rate, and reorder those domains fresh.
Sending at scale? Start there.

Profile of the week ↴
Have you ever seen someone take more calls than they have calendar slots? Ryane Tully is the most obsessed founder I know.
Two months ago, his company GetLeads was at $0 MRR. It’s pushing $37k now. His explanation is one line: GTM engineers are sick of paying per credit for B2B contact data. So GetLeads sells it unlimited, at a flat price, and Ryane narrates the build in public as it happens.

Post of the week ↴
Every email you send is assumed to be AI. Every LinkedIn DM too. That is the part nobody wants to say out loud.
Julien's argument: that is exactly why the phone came back. AI did not kill the SDR role but made it even more important.
Specialists own a channel, systems sync the prospecting across them, and humans pick up the phone, because the phone is the one place the AI assumption does not hold. A year ago this produced the GTM engineer. Now, plugged into Claude Code, one of them runs what used to take an entire SDR team.

Want to:
See the old SDR model side by side with the new one
Know which tools carry which channel
Work out which of the two you should be hiring

Event of the week ↴
What if the agents did not need anyone to run them?
On Thursday, August 27, Nooks is running a 30-minute live session on exactly that. Sabrina Hu, the PM who owns Plays, and Katie Aprile, an AE on their upsell team, walk through three Plays they run every week, across inbound and outbound.
Plays is their automation layer. It takes an AI agent and turns it into a full workflow: it triggers on its own, routes itself, and updates the CRM without anyone running it by hand.
You'll learn:
How a one-off agent becomes a repeatable workflow
Where Plays fit on inbound versus outbound
What their team runs weekly, not what works in theory
Thirty minutes, three plays, live. Save your seat.
